Hi! I’m Lara Jean Chorostecki.

I’m an Actress, Writer, Intimacy Coordinator, Coach and Potter.

My career as an actress has taken me all over the world, and my passion for functional and decorative ceramics has travelled with me. My household boasts a collection of pottery from every location I have filmed in!

As was apparently inevitable and obvious to those around me, I finally dove headfirst into learning myself what it takes to be a potter. As friends and family can attest, every spare minute I had over the past year was devoted to practice and play with clay. Here you’ll find some of the fruits of that labor! From creating incense trios inspired by the desert, to mugs for friend’s pets (with cartoonist Tommy Siegel). From pitchers that playfully mimic animated caricatures (I’m looking at you Birdo), to rustic planters, pots and salt monsters: Pottery has truly enveloped my entire personality!

When not on set or in the ceramics studio, you can find me hiking, looking for birds, writing, and connecting with my partner, friends and family. My love of nature and play has underpinned my life, and I hope you see that reflected in my work!

I split my time between the gorgeous West Coast of Los Angeles, California, and the bustling Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I love both places equally, as does our dog Fred, whose two perfect moods you can see on his Portrait Mug set below.
